A private music school that teaches instrument lessons to children who attend other schools for their main education is generally outside Ofsted's scope.
However, if your music school operates for more than a certain number of hours per week and could be considered to be providing a child's main education (which is extremely rare for music schools), different rules may apply. Insurance
