This is the most common issue and the one that creates the most quiet resentment. The parent who always pays, but always late. Not dramatically late — just consistently 10 days past the due date, every term, despite reminders.

The parent is disorganised, the invoice gets lost in their email, or they're juggling multiple direct debits and your music school doesn't have automatic collection. Reach out with genuine warmth, not administrative pressure. A phone call: "Hi, I noticed Oliver hasn't been to his last couple of lessons and I just wanted to check everything's OK. Is there anything we can adjust — a different time, a different approach? We'd love to keep him."
